Or, the Windows DWrite and Mac CoreText Indic layout engines have not been updated to handle the Vedic characters at all.1 -

I tend to align the bottom of the diaeresis dots to the bottom of the i/j dot, but make them slightly smaller in most weights. In heavy weights, the diaeresis dots may need to be quite a bit lighter …2 -

A long time member of the Apple fonts team is LDS, and I recall that when Deseret was added to Unicode he was keen to see it supported on Mac OS.5
